About BIGLITTLE

Providing training and professional development in the performing arts to dedicated children and young people.  BIGLITTLE Theatre School is a non-profit-making organisation enabling personal excellence through performance in a professional and nurturing environment for students aged from reception through to 19 years.

Permission To Shine

Co-founded back in 1996 by Michelle Guy and Colin Billing, BIGLITTLE Theatre School is highly regarded as a premier theatre school specialising in musical theatre, singing, acting and dance.  With over 300 talented students aged from 4 through to 19 years, BIGLITTLE is very proud to offer tuition from a highly qualified team of professional staff and directors, many of whom bring their expertise directly from the West End. An excellent reputation has been earned in the local and professional theatre world and good associations are maintained with London stage schools, celebrities and children’s charities for which the school has helped raise considerable sums of money.  Higher levels of excellence are achieved year-on-year with numbers limited to maintain the high standard of teaching.

BIGLITTLE runs three youth theatre companies: Footlights (year 4-6), Limelights (year 7-9), Starlights (year 10+), with the Professional Development Programme for students in year 12 and above aspiring to train at top theatre schools with a view to a career in the industry.

In addition to the youth theatre, we also offer a wide range of weekday classes and holiday courses/workshops in musical theatre, acting, singing techniques and dance, catering for syllabus and non-syllabus study. Classes are available in Bournemouth and Ringwood for children from reception age upwards.

Celebrating 21 Years of BIGLITTLE...

In October 2017 we celebrated our 21st Birthday with a show stopping concert at the Bournemouth Pavilion – the concert received amazing support from past alumni students who returned from afar to support the celebration along with current PDP and Youth Theatre students.
