Michelle graduated from Exeter University with a Bachelor of Education degree in Theatre Arts. She is an associate (ALAM) and examiner for LAMDA.

After graduating she worked with SAK Theatre Company for a year, which was based at Disney World’s EPCOT Center. She wrote and performed Renaissance street theatre shows, which were also performed at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival and New Orleans World Expo. In her earlier career, she worked extensively with her family’s national holiday company, Majestic Holidays, producing, directing and performing in musical theatre and comedy revue-style shows.

After her first son was born, she resumed her teaching career and was head of drama for two local schools, in addition to expanding on her own training in classical and contemporary acting.

In 1992, she created her own theatre school, Guys School of Performing Arts, and later founded BIGLITTLE Youth Theatre in 1996 with Colin Billing. The two organisations later merged to create BIGLITTLE Theatre School. Michelle has directed and choreographed numerous shows for local companies including Arena Theatre, the former BIGLITTLE Theatre Company, and BBLOC’s NODA award-winning production of Mr Cinders. She is no stranger to the Pavilion Theatre stage, having performed many lead roles in musicals produced by BBLOC and other companies.
