Gaynor Watts

HEAD OF MTKIDZ

Gaynor started her dancing career at the tiny age of 2 and a half at a local dance school. She studied RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap, Modern, and Ballroom Dancing. After many Dance festivals and performing in pantomimes at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre, she found her passion in becoming an all-round performer.

She went on to study at Weymouth College where she completed a National Diploma in Performing Arts followed by a UK tour with a Theatre in Education Company. She has performed in numerous Musicals and Plays. She also enjoys writing stories and devising scripts for short performances, specialising in theatre for children.

After a break from performing, she studied a Childcare in Education course and found her passion for performing and building confidence was so inspiring to others that she combined the two and went into teaching.

Gaynor has been teaching Musical Theatre and Speech and Drama to ages 2-15 as well as Baby Ballet and Tiny Tap for over 17 years also including the LAMDA Verse and Prose and Acting Syllabus. She has also taught Elocution at the Park School and continues to teach LAMDA privately. Between 2015 and 2017 she ran her own ‘Watts On’ Youth Theatre project.

Gaynor joined BIGLITTLE as a teacher for Theatre Machine classes in 2019 and was appointed the new head of MTKidz in the summer of 2022.
