Starlight Youth Theatre

Stage 4 & 5 [ages 16-18]

the STARLIGHT company is BIGLITTLE's senior Youth Theatre company for dedicated and committed young performers who are looking for the next level in musical theatre and who relish working at a fast pace to a high standard.

The students work on a wide variety of ensemble repertoire from many different styles of musicals, old and new. Students will get the opportunity to work with guest directors and choreographers, and will have the opportunity to gain some insight into the world of professional theatre.  Rehearsals are each Saturday afternoon during term time, with additional rehearsals approaching their two main performance opportunities (FESTIVAL in March and SPOTLIGHT in July).

Entrance to the Starlights is usually by an audition workshop held at various times during the year, but students may by prior arrangement come along to a trial/assessment session, subject to places being available, at other times.

Students in who have a serious interest in persuing a career in the performing arts may audition for the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME for potential entry in Year 10 (or above).
