Big Little is delighted to be working  in partnership with this local respected private primary school in Boscombe.  BIGLITTLE has always had strong links with St.Thomas Garnet School and we are pleased to bring our unique style and professional quality to the young students aged 5 - 11 years.

The Speech and Drama training is taught in two parts. The first is in a one to one situation and then in a small group session. Each student receives a weekly private lesson during which they will study and practice the speaking of  verse and prose, exploring techniques in voice, expression and emotion. The LAMDA examination syllabus is followed. The weekly group sessions focus on improvisation, mime, movement and devised drama. Through this children build confidence and develop their creative thinking and communication skills.

In addition to the LAMDA examination syllabus, students are encouraged to participate in the Bournemouth Competitions Festival and preparation for this also takes place in the one to one sessions. The students at St Thomas Garnet School are a delight to teach and have, over the years, gained excellent exam and festival results.

Exam Success!

Congratulations to Kate Gibbs and all the students at St Thomas Garnet School who achieved outstanding LAMDA results. 58 candidates entered exams in Verse and Prose and achieved 12 merits and 46 distinctions. The examiners particularly mentioned how excellent and natural the children were. This was Kate's first exam session. Well done Kate!
